There is a chat channel, primarily used by TransportTycoonDeluxe players, called #tycoon on the [http://www.oftc.net/|OFTC] IRC network. To access this chat channel, you can either use [http://tt-forums.net/chat.php|the Java client] available on the [http://www.tt-forums.net/|TT-Forums], or download an IRC client. For Windows, [http://www.mirc.com/|mIRC] is the most popular client; if you're using a *NIX system [http://www.xchat.org/|XChat] or [http://www.irssi.org|irssi] are good choices.  (Does anyone have any recommendations for Mac and OS/2 users?)

To connect to OFTC, it's recommended you use the general round-robin name irc.oftc.net. If your IRC client and browser supports it, the following link should connect you to OFTC and join the channel:
