Availability

The current release of the Dutch Tram Set is available ingame via the Online Content download feature of OpenTTD. If you have TTDPatch or you want to install manually, you can download the Dutch Tram Set from here (tt-forums.net). A readme with instructions is provided with the download.

Development

The next version of the Dutch Tram Set will provide the vehicles in 2CC for multiplayer benefit.

Currently an updated version of the Dutch Tram Set is under development. You can follow development at the #openttdcoop DevZone. The update aims to provide bugfixes and eventually new vehicles as well.

Want to help?

You can help the development of the Dutch Tram Set in the following ways:

Help by drawing new vehicles

Basically all trams that were ever used in the Netherlands are acceptable, but the main focus is public transport and historically important trams. If you want to draw a tram, pick one you like (and that is not drawn already). It's useful to announce what you will be drawing in the development topic. Once you have something to show, you can post the results in that very topic. Once the vehicle is done, it will be appreciated if you create a ticket for it in the issue tracker, so that it can be added to the set. If you don't feel like creating an account at the DevZone, just posting it in the development topic will be fine as well.

If you don't know what to draw, but still want to draw something, please have a look at the properties page and pick a tram that is not in the set but with (some) properties readily available.

About 2CC: When you draw a vehicle, you only have to draw it in it's real livery. I can then convert it to 2CC in a minute with more than acceptable results. All current 2CC vehicles have been converted that way. Of course you're free to do the 2CC conversion yourself or you can tweak the automated conversion afterwards if you like.

Help by doing research

If you can't draw (or think you can't draw; it's worth a try!), you can still help by finding certain properties of the real life vehicles. Besides the graphics, these properties are also needed to get newly drawn vehicles in the game! It is not necessary to find all required properties for a particular vehicle.

A separate properties page has been set up where all vehicle properties will be collected. This page is already filled with the properties of some vehicles. If you like to see a vehicle in the set that is not listed, you can add it there (just copy the template provided and fill it).

If you don't know what to search properties for, see if a new tram has been drawn and go from there.
