The Dutch Tram Set was born on July 18th of 2007. Actually, to be more precise, public development of the set started on that very day. After months of hard work, the first public beta release of the set was made available on October 24th of that same year. The first beta contained a fair share of vehicles. The set was received well by the public. The main complaint was for it being not compabitble with the Long Vehicles set. '''Want to help?'''

You can help the development of the Dutch Tram Set in the following ways:

===Help by drawing new vehicles===

Basically all trams that were ever used in the Netherlands are acceptable, but the main focus is public transport and historically important trams. If you want to draw a tram, pick one you like (and that is not drawn already). It's useful to announce what you will be drawing in the [http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=33180 development topic]. Once you have something to show, you can post the results in that very topic. Once the vehicle is done, it will be appreciated if you create a ticket for it in the [ issue tracker], so that it can be added to the set. If you don't feel like creating an account at the DevZone, just posting it in the development topic will be fine as well.

If you don't know what to draw, but still want to draw something, please have a look at the [[Dutch Tram Set/Statistics|statistics page]] and pick a tram that is not in the set but with (some) statistics readily available.

===Help by doing statistics research===

*Purno: For his pantographs and general advice.
If you can't draw (or think you can't draw; it's worth a try!), you can still help by finding certain statistics of the real life vehicles. Besides the graphics, these statistics are also needed to get newly drawn vehicles in the game! It is not necessary to find all required statistics for a particular vehicle.

*Hyronymus: For his general advice.
  +
*Ameecher: For letting us adapt his Eurotram and general advice.
  +
*DaleStan: For pointing out Hyro was breaking table and general advice on coding.

*OzTransLtd, PikkaBird, XeryusTC, Lakie: For their general advice on coding.

*All people who expressed their support for the set in the Tram Set topic on tt-forums.net.

A separate [[Dutch Tram Set/Statistics|statistics page]] has been set up where all statistics will be collected. This page is already filled with the statistics of some vehicles. If you like to see a vehicle in the set that is not listed, you can add it there (just copy the template provided and fill it).

Note
This page is about the first Dutch Tramset. If you're playing OpenTTD and are looking for downloads, we recommend you to try the successor to this, Dutch Tramset 2.
Vehicles in Dutch Tram Set RC1

The Dutch Tram Set is a tram vehicle NewGRF for OpenTTD and TTDPatch. It contains a selection of Dutch trams from the past as well as trams that are still in use today (plus a number of fictional future trams for later game years). The set is aimed to give a historical overview of Dutch trams, while ensuring quality gameplay through customized statistics.

This issue was resolved in Beta 2.1, a few more trams were added and the set was made compliant to the Road Vehicle ID Guidelines in order to make it even more compatible with other sets.
